Kapitus tasked myself and my team to work on an animation for clients to understand exactly how the platform works in a clean, constructive manner. I worked on the storyboard and all the animation assets, and some scenes within the animation. And every idea needed to be storyboard to create the through-line, a detail that is both figurative and literal. We wanted a guiding line to connect all the scenes.

There was a substantial amount of revisions to get the style right. We wanted something simple, friendly, but with character. The character also transforms throughout the video so we needed a figure that fit this classic archetype. And every idea needed to be storyboard to create the through-line, a detail that is both figurative and literal. We wanted a guiding line to connect all the scenes.

The storyboard was fundamental in achieving the fluid effect of the video and make sure there was connective tissue between each scene. We proposed a simple rudimentary version for approval and then did a hi-fi version. We built out a ton of the assets in this stage so that animating was a simpler process. The entire video was done in one long continuous composition that had a scrolling camera to keep the continuity of the line throughout the animation.
